Abstract The genetic and phenotypic study was conducted in a inbred White Leghorn strain, involving reproductive traits. The reproductive traits included fertility, dead genn, dead-in-shell and hatchability which were recorded to be as 83.8±0.14, 22.48±0.07, 18.00±0.03 and 49.47±0.15, respectively. The inheritance studies indicated lower heritability estimates for various reproductive traits ranging from 0.04 to 0.06, while the genetic and environmental correlation were recorded to be moderate to high in magnitude. The are-sine proportion and square root transformation can be used for geadic analysis. Top Key words Trarlsformation, heritability, maternal effect, correlation, White leghorn. Top |
