Abstract Familial Hypercholesterolemia is a genetic disorder caused by mutations in the genes encoding the low density lipoprotein (LDL) receptor consequently which results in elevated plasma levels of LDL. We report a case of a fourteen year old male with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia who underwent coronary artery bypass surgery and later underwent a phase one cardiac rehabilitation program. The program consisted of early post surgical respiratory care with bronchial hygiene therapy and a submaximal exercise stress test done at the end of first phase of cardiac rehabilitation.
