E-education, Social Capital and Factor Affecting Dropout In Open University Kiani Mojdeh Department of Social Science, Payame Noor University, Iran Online published on 7 May, 2014. Abstract This study tries to investigate the factors affecting the student dropout in Payame Noor university in Iran. The aim of this paper is to recognize the relationship among social capital, age, gender and factors affecting dropout. To recognize the factors affecting dropout, an online survey was used to collect data from students drop out of P.N.U (Payame Noor university) in Iran in 2014. There is not a statistical relationship among social capital and dropout. According to regression analysis, the best model with the least variable is meaningful. one can come to this conclusion that dropout is interpreted by variables of employment, affective friendships, and gender.
