Online published on 24 March, 2023. Abstract Okra commercialization in Tapi district is the outcome of institutional interventions during the previous forty years. These interventions have been proven to be successful in converting the parochial paddy cultivation to commercial okra cultivation. The export promotion agencies’ significant marketing-focused institutional initiatives have been instrumental in highlighting the value of institutional innovations in promoting okra in the area. The study has demonstrated the potential advantages of extensive institutional changes persuaded by the export agency. The comparative assessment of marketing shows marketing channel for okra via an exporting company as most effective. The study has demonstrated the benefits of an informal community participation under the right supervision and guidance. Top |
