Abstract The article draws certain conclusions about the formation of phraseological ambiguity. The study of the subject was classified and to a certain extent criticized. On the basis of examples, the meanings of phraseological units in the context are explained, the difference in the multiplicity and ambiguity of expressions, the spelling of which is given in dictionaries, some sentences are described.
