Abstract Content-Based Instruction is a method of organizing instruction around the content. Similarly, the concepts of Material-Based Instruction are strongly based on communicative language teaching principles since they require active engagement of students in the sharing of content. This article considers Content-Based Instruction as a relevant language teaching technique, its history, definition, and principles. Furthermore, the essay discusses the specific qualities of Content-Based Instruction as well as its primary paradigms. A Content-Based Instruction lesson plan with supplies is also included.
