Role of agricultural engineers in bringing normalcy after a natural disaster Alam Anwar, Deputy Director General (Engg.) Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi-110001. Based on the paper presented in the Theme Session of XXXV Annual Convention of ISAE held at OUAT, Bhubaneshwar 22–24 January, 2001. Abstract Natural disaster occur in some part of India almost every year and adversely affect agriculture and rural life. Engineering measures can help ill either preventing or millimising the impact of such disasters and through mechnacial efforts and support of IT can help in normalising life expeditiously.
