The seven cultivars exhibited wide range of variation for most of the characters under study, similarly, the nature of extent of correlation among various characters varied. The high and positive correlation was obtained between fruit yield per vine, number of fruits per vine, average fruit weight, number of nodes per vine and yield. Out of fifteen characters, Pant Karela-2 showed good performance for ten characters and occupied first place among all the cultivars under naturally ventilated polyhouse conditions followed by Pant Karela-1 and Kalyan Sona. Top Keywords Bittergourd, polyhouse, yield, correlation. Top |
