Removal and destruction of infested twigs/fallen leaves twice in a week + Bt @ 0.5 kglha showed minimum infestation of shoot (1.23 and 1.13%) and fruits (1.10 and 0.90%) and produced maximum healthy fruits over rest of the treatments in managing the shoot and fruit borer infestation is followed by neem gold @ 2 mill + mechanical removal (T1). Cypermethrin @ 0.016% and imidacloprid @ 0.015% were found next effective treatment in order of efficacy. The maximum yield of marketable brinjal fruit and maximum avoidable losses were found in treatment T2 whereas, minimum yield was recorded in T. chilonis treated plot.
