A study on the relationship between social intelligence and communication skills among students of secondary school. Tabassum Ameena1, Sheela G.2, Dr. 1Dos in Education University of Mysore, Mysore -570006 2Dos in Education University of Mysore, Mysore -570006 Abstract The present study was conducted to find out the relationship between Social intelligence and Communication Skills among the students studying in private school of Mysore district. A sample of 60 students was randomly selected from secondary school. Descriptive survey method was adopted for the study. The data was collected using Social Intelligence scale developed by Prof.(Dr)N.K. Chadha, & Usha Ganesan, and rubric of communication skills constructed by the researcher. Correlational analysis and, t -test were used as the statistical techniques for analysis of the data. The findings of the study highlight that female secondary school students have scored more in social intelligence than the male students. Hence there is no significant difference in social Intelligence and Communication skills of male and female students of secondary schools.
