Architecture of Taj Mahal Seyyed Mahmood¶, Suverna Sugitha Department of Studies in History, Mysore, India. Address for correspondence: E-mail:¶mahmood.seyyed@yahoo.com.
Abstract Islam had great contribution in the architecture of India. Indians, on the other hand, developed an art which is unique in the world of Islamic architecture. These achievements were undoubtedly attained through the spirit of loyalty and cooperation which had been prospered during the centuries of co-existence between Moslems and Hindus. This spirit is still goes strong even though it was disturbed by the western colonizers for more than 200 years. This can be observed in the great architectural designs of India.
