Abstract In developing countries, small scale industries and cottage industries are important for increasing employment opportunities, equal distribution of income, to increase standard of living, developing rural and semi-urban areas. Silver manufacturing units plays a major role in creating employment opportunities for the people especially women. Silverware products and ornaments made in India has a significant export market and also popular throughout the country. Silverware manufacturing units faced problems related to operational patterns and exporting the products.
