A review: Managing transportation in supply chain management Pathak Om Prakash Institute of Engineering & Technology, Alwar, Rajasthan-301001, India Online published on 13 March, 2012. Abstract In this article I reviewed the management of transportation in supply chain management. The importance of supply chain management has been growing in various areas. For industries, it helps to optimize the existing production and distribution processes based on the same resources through management techniques for promoting the efficiency and competitiveness of enterprises. The key element in a supply chain is transportation system, which joints the separated activities. The main aim of this paper is to define the role of transportation in supply chain management for the reference of further improvement.
