Exploring the Relationship Between Attitude of Consumer with Purchasing Intention of Green Packaged Food Products

Abstract

The study seeks to explore the factors which influence the consumer attitude and behaviour towards green packaged food products and also to explore the consumers‘ intentions to pay for these products. A quantitative and qualitative research methodology using a questionnaire along with secondary research has been proposed. A structured questionnaire has been used using convenience-sampling. Correlation and factor analysis has been used to explore consumers‘ attitudes and behaviour towards greenpackaged food products. The consumers are conscious about environmentally friendly packaging of food products. The consumers those are ready to purchase green packaging food products while not compromising on service quality. The consumers would prefer to purchase green packing food products but are not willing to pay extra for the same. The paper attempts to bring out facts regarding customer buying behaviour towards green package food products.
