Abstract There is a gap among supply and demand in delivery of suitable, skilled, competitive, qualified business administration graduates and the requirements in business organizations. The job fitness is mostly decided by the compatibility of the candidates who aspire for job with organizations’ requirements. This could only be achieved through imparting quality education in professional education (Higher Education). In the context stated above, the quality of management education in Tamil Nadu was analyzed using IEQMS quality model. This model is encompassed with ten critical factors. Various statistical methods were used in the data analysis. The result of the analysis show that all the ten critical factors have significant influence in steering quality in management education and mostly inter-correlated with each other except the two factors namely, Academic Culture (AC) and Knowledge Audit (KA). It was estimated that most of the critical factors heavily contributes to quality in education except the three factors namely, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), AC and KA whose contribution is less compared to other factors. Though, the IEQMS model was developed to measure and implement quality of engineering education, an attempt has been made to measure its compatibility to apply in other streams of education has been confirmed through this work.
