Abstract In the current study, Posttraumatic growth inventory-short form (PTGI-SF), constructed by Cann et al. (2010) was translated and adapted with due permission of author for the measurement of posttraumatic growth after any traumatic event in Pakistan. The back-translation technique was used for the translation of Posttraumatic growth inventory-short form into Urdu and factor analysis was used for validation. Sample used for the study comprised of 220 earth quake survivors of Hazara division out of which 105 were males and 105 were females who responded to Posttraumatic growth inventory-short form. The alpha reliability of translated version is.88 which is similar to the original 89.
