Abstract

One major objective of formation of Self Help Groups (SHGs) is to help income generation for the members of the groups. The extent of income generation from any activity depends on a large number of factors. The proportion of time spent on a particular activity also has a significant impact on income generation from that activity. The present paper aims to examine the time – income linkage for the various activities undertaken by the rural people engaged in self-help groups. For this, the paper analyses activity wise distribution of time spent and activity wise distribution of income generated.
