Abstract

This paper reveals the comparative study of supply current harmonics in Resistive and Resistive Inductive loads with shunt active filter. The single phase rectifier fed Resistive load considered as a nonlinear load. In this paper, an active filter is connected at supply end to reduce the source current harmonics. The reduction of supply current THD values with R and RL using single-phase shunt active filter is presented. The simulation studies are performed and compared with Resistive load and RL loads.
