Abstract Continuous monitoring and improvement of supply chain management activities are essential to stay against in the competitive manufacturing scenario. Changing trends of the dynamic demands of the customer requirements, technological innovations and after sales service are the main factors to satisfy as well as retain the customers. Hence it is essential to identify the strategic supplier quality metrics in all the day-to-day operations in the manufacturing organisations. In particular, every organisation must identify appropriate real time initiatives towards achieving sustainable competitive advantage. In this research paper, the strategic supplier quality metrics for infusing real time lean six sigma initiatives in small scale manufacturing organisations have been investigated. By establishing and monitoring the above integrated strategic supplier quality metrics and the real time lean six sigma initiatives in the small scale manufacturing organisations, the customer satisfaction with reference to product quality and cost savings can be achieved to a greater extend significantly and subsequently. The above data are properly recorded as supplier data-base documents for further reference, future review analysis and computer aided data driven decision support systems for achieving continuous improvement.
