Abstract

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) has two key attacks Compromised-node and denial-of-service. The data delivery mechanisms in such node has high probability to avoid black holes formed by these attacks. The classic multipath routing approaches that are vulnerable to such attacks, mainly due to their deterministic nature. So once the adversary acquires the routing algorithm, it shares the routes known to the source, hence making all information sent over these routes vulnerable to its attacks. In this paper, we proposed a new mechanisms that generate randomized multi-path routes and fend off such attacks are succeed. Using such designs, the different packets change over time by the shared routers. So even if adversary knowns the routing algorithm, the adversary still cannot identify the routes traversed by each packet. The generated routes are extremely dispersive and energy efficient, making them expert to avoid black holes. We formulate an optimized solution to minimize the energy consumption under given security limitations. Extensive simulations are conducted to verify the validity of the mechanisms which is novel, secure and efficient routing protocol.
