Abstract

Modern life is full of stress. Stress is produced by several happenings in life. In general every transition or change produces stress. Urbanization, Industrialization and increase in scale of operations in the society cause stress. Stress is a part and parcel of our very existence. Stress makes us sick and slowly paves way to our some modern disease leading to emotional turmoil, psychological imbalance, and physical burnout. Stress is a negative consequence of modern living. While distress affects a person's physiological and physiological well-being, eustress refers to the healthy, positive, and constructive out come of stressful event. This empirical study focus on few managerial techniques to cope up (prevent, minimize and overcome) the stress by organization.
