Abstract

This paper addresses the implementation of Total Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (TFMEA) using Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) for the production of high quality tea as it relies upon its manufacturing process and in evaluation of failure modes. An improved version of this TQM- FMEA scheme is formulated to overcome the existing drawbacks. The so called existing system uses risk priority determination to enhance quality control but this mainly focus on rating that makes the process successful. The proposed method is implemented in Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) using MATLAB which assist in developing quality production in tea industry.
