Abstract

Nowadays, organizations outsource the data to the third party cloud provider for storage. However, Data outsourcing in cloud based environment causes several security concerns. Whenever the data storage happens in cloud and whenever data is shared with a group of members, the data must be secure and it is important that it should be available only to the appropriate and authenticate cloud users. In a cloud based environment, data stored faces lot of insider threats from malicious users. In this paper, we proposed a data sharing mechanism using access control technique in Cloud Based Environment which provides more security in sharing the data, confidentiality of the cloud data, integrity of cloud data and access control. In this proposed method, a single encryption key is used to encrypt the data. The performance of the proposed scheme is estimated based on the time consumption taken during several cryptographic operations. The performance results indicate that our proposed scheme is efficient in sharing the data in the secure cloud environment
