Abstract

The loosely coupled nature of wireless adhoc network and the non topological nature help intruders and malicious users to generate variety of attacks. The achievement of network services only based on the excellence of service metrics like amount, packet delivery ration, latency and countless more. The problem of region based sinkhole detection is unhandled in the literature. We propose amulti model approach which identifies various attacks produced in wireless adhoc networks like routing attacks, sinkhole attacks and DDOS attack, and then propose different mechanism to mitigate the attacks to improve the quality of service of the network. The proposed multi variant mitigation model (MVMM) performs various attack detection approaches like routing attack detection, sinkhole attack detection scheme, Botnet Detection and DDOS approach. The proposed multi model approach has produced efficient results in improving the quality of service of the wireless adhoc networks.
