Abstract

In the last few decades, role of females in the employment field in the industrialized nations has prominently grown. Consequently, infant carehas turned out to be a great challenge to most of the families in their current life style. Mothersare constantly worried regarding the well-beingand safety oftheir baby. When a system is developed which constantly sends update regarding their infants during the time of severeillness or normal routine, then it will be of significant assistance to such parents as they can work in stress less environment without worrying much about their children. Moreover, in case of urgent situation, it can be noticed quickly and handled within less time. Hence, aneffective infant monitoring system is developed with the assistance of Micro-Electro-Mechanical systems (MEMS) for the purpose of adequately reducing the potential risks for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). This system assists in effectively reducing the infant'sdeath at home and hospitals. This system includes heart beat sensor and active zigbeetechnology. This system monitors temperature, heart beat andblood pressure. All the necessary information isdisplayed in LCD screen. This proposed system give a peace of mind to loved ones as they can get an update status of their wellbeing.
