Online published on 29 February, 2024. Abstract Digital workflow has been a game-changer in various dental disciplines, enabling clinicians to make effective decisions and reduce their workload. One of the most innovative applications of digital technology is artificial intelligence (AI), which can mimic human intelligence by learning from data patterns. AI can assist dental surgeons in various tasks, such as collecting and processing patients’ data, and using it to support the clinician in diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment planning. This short review evaluates the current and potential uses of AI in endodontics, such as estimating the case complexity, identifying abnormal root anatomy, diagnosing carious and periapical lesions, and assessing the feasibility of stem cells in regenerative therapy.
