Abstract Ranula is a phenomenon due to sublingual gland duct retention in the floor of mouth, resulting in a bluish swelling in the floor of mouth.Variety of treatments for ranula has been suggested and include aspiration of cystic fluid, sclerotherapy, marsupialization, incision and drainage and excision of the sublingual gland with or without ranula. We are presenting a case report of a21 year old male patient who complained of swelling under the tongue since 6 months. Clinical examination revealed a reddish blue, oval, fluctuantswelling in hisfloor of the mouth with approximately 4x3x3 cm in size. It caused pushing the tongue upward and deviation towards opposite side. The swelling impaired speaking, eating or swallowing as told by the patient. This case was managed by marsupialization and patient was followed up for a period of 6 months with excellent recovery. Top Keywords Ranula, Superficial ranula, Marsupialization, Sublingual gland.
