Online published on 7 December, 2011. Abstract For many years, zinc oxide- containing sealers have been the most widely used sealers. But there has been continuous quest to develop alternate sealers, which simultaneously bond to dentin and core material for the purpose of creating monoblock. The concept of monoblock formation came into existence to overcome the disadvantages of the traditional sealers and to enhance the ability of endodontically treated teeth to resist fracture and improve the apical seal. By incorporating certain resin components, there is significant improvement in properties of root canal sealers. So this review highlights the various resin based root canal sealers. Top Keywords Epiphany, EndoREZ, Monoblock. Top |
