Abstract

The increasing interest in esthetics and the subsequent need to solve related problems such as dentin hypersensitivity and root caries have favored the development of many surgical techniques that penvit the coverage of exposed roots. A variety of surgical techniques have been used to cover recession type defects. In this case report gingival recession was treated using a coronally positioned flap which resulted in root coverage. The clinical evaluation was performed at1- and 3-months after the surgery. The final esthetics, both color match and tissue contours, were acceptable to both the patient and the clinician. This article describes in detail about the surgical technique used for root coverage.
