As surgical therapy is most commonly used therapy in central gaint cell granuloma but in several studies the results of surgical therapy have been evaluated and recurrence rates ranging from 11% to 49% have been reported. The size of the granuloma i.e tumor were appreciably big in size in some patients so treatment was planned with application of corticosteroid before surgical curettage to reduce the recurrence of surgical therapy and observed good result.
