Abstract

This case report describes the successful management of a maxillary central incisor's complicated crown fracture with a concomitant horizontal mid root fracture. Necrotic coronal segment required endodontic treatment along with a post and core restoration which was made difficult because of additional horizontal midroot fracture. Instead of normal obturation, MTA was used as an apical barrier to facilitate final restoration with post and core and a PFM crown, with no intervention for the apical segment.
