It is an evolution from offering simple mechanical care to biological considerations for health promotion; risk assessment; diagnosis; treatment & even prognosis. This paper reviews the dental implications of Stem Cells Therapy, its sources from oral cavity & applications in Dentine Regeneration, Regenerative Endodontics, possibility of generating pulp & dentine in pulpless canals; potential role of stem cells from apical papilla in apexification, apexogenesis, replantation, transplantation & whole tooth regeneration & also the current challenges in tissue engineering.
