Online published on 28 May, 2014. Abstract Implants are an excellent treatment modality in modern era of dentistry. Atrophied alveolar ridges present special challenges to implant dentistry. This problem is magnified in posterior maxilla where ridge resorption and sinus pneumatization are often encountered. The procedure of choice to restore this anatomic deficiency is sinus lift which aims to increase bone volume in maxillary sinus in order to enable installation of dental implants in region. The purpose of this article is to bring forward techniques of maxillary sinus floor elevation in simplified form with the help of case reports. Top |
