Abstract

Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) ankylosis is a disabling condition resulting from trauma, infection or surgical treatment. Different treatment techniques have been used and described so far but none of them gave successful outcome. However, interpositional arthroplasty and physiotherapy immediately after treatment have been method of choice of agreement by many authors. A dentigerous cyst is a common developmental cyst which is frequently noted during radiographical analysis. Enucleation is considered as a definitive therapy and marsupialization provides a less extensive but safe surgical procedure. We report a case of TMJ ankylosis with dentigerous cyst in a patient who has been treated successfully without any post operative complications
