The various treatment options are mention in the literature such as resin composite restorations, pre fabricated posts, biological posts and orthodontic wire posts. This article presents a case of early childhood caries where a poly ethylene fiber (Ribbond) has been used as an intra canal retainer. The advantages of using reinforced fibers as a intracanal post include resin composite crown reinforcement, translucency, and relative ease of manipulation. The follow up of the case for 2years has demonstrated good retention and aesthetic results. Top Keywords Primary incisors, Poly ethylene fibers, Early childhood caries. Top |
