The failure to recognize the two-way communication capability, quite often leads to negative conclusions and attitudes. Aim of the Study The aim of this study was to develop, refine and validate interaction pattern scale fornurse educators. Material & Methods A draft of 60 questions was prepared on the basis of expert opinion, review of existing literature, existing scales and peer discussion. Stage 2 scale was then prepared with 11 domains and 46 items (questions) after expert panel review for obvious irrelevance and duplication of issues. Tool was administered to 200 nurse educators of nursing educational institute situated in Punjab. Factor analysis was done using principal component method with varimax rotation. Reliability analysis was done by calculating Cronbach's Alpha. Results Using principal component method 11 domains were identified on the basis rotation for rotated solution scree plot. These 11 domains explained 62.24%of the total variation. 41 items (questions) were extracted to represent these domains on the basis of extraction communality, factor loading, inter-item and item-total correlations. The final questionnaire has an overall Cronbach's Alpha value of 0. 83 showing high internal consistency. Conclusion The final version of questionnaire with 11 domains and 41 items is a reliable and valid tool for assessment of interaction pattern of nurse educators.
