Online published on 4 October, 2019. Abstract Introduction AIDS is a sexually transmitted disease. Worldwide 25–30% of infected patients are women and 90% of them are from 20 to 49 years of age. To create awareness among people, ‘WORLD AIDS DAY ’is celebrated on 1 December every year. HIV in pregnancy is the presence of the HIV virus in women while she is pregnant. There are concerns because women diagnosed with HIV/AIDS may transmit the infection to their Chlld during pregnancy. Aim The present study aims to assess the knowledge of antenatal mothers regarding HIV/AIDS during pregnancy with the view to develop information booklet. Material & Methods Non experimental, descriptive approach was used and Study was conducted in Gynae OPD of GGSMC& H, Faridkot (Punjab). Through purposive sampling 100 antenatal mothers were selected and selfstructured tool was used for collection of data. RESULTS: The finding of present study revealed that 68 antenatal mothers had adequate knowledge score and 32 had inadequate score. Hence it was concluded that majority of mothers had adequate knowledge. Association of selected demographic variables with knowledge score at p value <0.005 level of significance showed significant findings with variables occupation, education and monthly income and non significant findings with variables age, religion, area of living and type of family. Conclusion Hence it was concluded that majority of mothers had adequate knowledge.
