Immediate and residual effect of an acidic industrial waste on alkali soil Shrivastava D.K., Tiwari K.B., Shrivastava S.P. J.N.K.V.V. College of Agriculture Engineering, Jabalpur, (M.P.). Abstract To study the immediate effect first crop of paddy was grown upto maturity. It was found that yield of paddy grain increased significantly and successively with the application of waste matter. Soil properties like pH. ESP and hydraulic conductivity also improved signficantly. For long term residual effect second crop of maize was grown up to flowering stage without further addition of soil amedment. It was found that improvement in soil Physical properties due to waste matter are retained but its effect on crop yield was non-significant. Top | |
