Abstract Lonar Crater is situated within Parvani quadrangle in the Lonar village Buldana District of Maharashtra, India (Latitude: N19o 58’ Longitude: E 76o 31’). Guano is an old faecal matter of bat was collected from the old temples located in the rim of Lonar crater To study the impact of bat guano, 10 mg bat guano dissolved in 100 ml of domestic and Lonar lake water (10:100) concentration were prepared, filter and parameters was noted at an interval of 2 hour for about 24 hours and samples were kept undisturbed till 30 days and thereafter, parameters were noted at an interval of 5 days for about 30 days. Resulted into increasing in pH and decline in chloride, salinity, nitrate, phosphate and sulphate content of domestic effluents and Lonar lake water after the addition of bat guano. Our investigation indicates that bat guano can be used for bioremediation of eutrophic aquatic lake ecosystem and also used for waste water treatments.
