Conservation of those wetlands and their native species enables the sustainability of biodiversity. The present study has focused on assessing the Fish diversity and its conservation status as well as the physicochemical properties of water for Joysagar Doloni, Kaliabor, Nagaon, Assam, which is located in the central part of Kaliabor and about 6 km from NH-37. The wetland is found to be enriched with indigenous fish diversity, which comprises a total of 40 species belonging to 26 Genera, 9 Orders, and 19 families. The Order Cypriniformes is found to be the most diversified family with 16 representative species.
