Abstract Information dissemination techniques play a vital role in providing access to information resources in libraries. The primary objective of this study is to assess the information dissemination techniques utilised by the library websites of deemed universities in Karnataka. The evaluation encompasses factors such as domain name, language, website type, and links, with a checklist employed for data collection. The analysis and interpretation process involves ranking the library websites based on the scores obtained. The findings reveal a limited adoption of information distribution methods, with QR codes and mobile library apps being rarely implemented. Common approaches include SMS alerts, remote access, and Online Public Access Catalogs (OPACs). Notably, none of the selected university library websites provide a personalised collection option.
