Abstract

Artificial intelligence has emerged as a transformative force in library and information science, revolutionising various aspects of library services. In this article, we will look at some of the most recent trends and applications of AI in libraries, highlighting both its potential benefits and associated challenges. AI technologies such as NLP (Natural Language Processing), recommendation systems, virtual assistants, and data analytics are reshaping library operations, improving user experiences, and supporting research and innovation. However, libraries must address ethical considerations, data privacy, resource constraints, and user acceptance to integrate artificial intelligence effectively into their library services. This comprehensive review underscores the development of AI in contemporary libraries and provides guidelines for successful AI implementation.
