Abstract Advancements in information technology have significantly transformed the operations of businesses and service organizations, led to the creation of new services and automation of administrative tasks. Cloud computing has accelerated this transformation, offering a range of models such as IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS. This paper examines the advantages and disadvantages of these cloud computing models and includes a SWOT analysis cloud computing. Additionally, it suggests potential applications of cloud computing in libraries. Finally, a list of reputable cloud computing service providers is provided. Cloud computing equips organizations with advantages from increased flexibility, scalability, and cost effectiveness. However, it's important to recognize that, data security and privacy are considered as significant challenges. Despite these issues, cloud computing offers substantial opportunities for organizations to streamline their operations and improve efficiency.
