Impact of COVID - 19 on E - learning at higher education in India: A case study of Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak Kumar Narender Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Research Scholar in Library & Information Science Department, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Haryana, India Online published on 22 March, 2024. Abstract Covid-19 is declared as a pandemic in 2020 by World Health Organization. The disease spread with the human touch, so it is compulsory to maintain social distancing in the society. Because of that Government all over the world declared lockdown. The situation was not under control in months and that effect the business, economy and education of the youth. The ultimate education institution and other business found are use of E learning platform. In current research work researcher is trying to find effect of Covid-19 on E-learning at higher education in India. For the researcher he collected the data with the help of questionnaire from higher education student of MDU, Rohtak. After analyzing the data it was found that E-learning become the good source for continuing teaching and learning but they also face many problems as they are using this system first time. The Covid-19 has affected educational system all over the world and leads to closures of schools, colleges and universities and causing widespread destruction which is critical determinant of country’s future. The structure of the learning and assessment methods was the first to be affected by these closures. And started to adopt online teaching methods by only a handful of schools and colleges.
