Mastitis in cattle and buffalo in district Ambala (Haryana)

Abstract

A total of 120 milk samples from 67 buffalo and 53 cattle were tested for mastitis. The prevalence of mastitis in buffalo was 88% while in cattle 98%. The prevalence of clinical and subclincal mastitis in buffalo was 14.9%, 85% and in cattle 29.2%, 77.3% respectively. Enrofloxacin was found most sensitive drug both in cattle and buffaloes.
