Online published on 13 July, 2021. Abstract The present study reported that Mukia maderaspatana (L.) M. Roem., is considered as an invasive weed in many regions of the district. It is belongs to the Cucurbitaceae family commonly called as Madras pea pumpkin. The surveys were undertaken to gather information about edible and medicinal uses of the plant in the study area. It resulted to huge amount of information was collected about edible and medicinal value of Mukia maderaspatana in various ways. So far, the present paper gives the traditional knowledge of Mukia maderaspatana herb in the taluks of Bidar district.
