Manivelb aCentre for High Pressure Research, School of Physics, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchlrappalli, India. bDefence Metallurgical Research Laboratory, Hyderabad, India Abstract We report the magnetism and magnetic entropy change in the Mn-rich Ni48Mn39Sn13 Heusler alloy system. The excess Mn content stabilizes the cubic austenite phase at room temperature. The shift of Martensitic transition temperature to low temperature with the application of higher magnetic field.
