Online published on 18 April, 2014. Abstract Imaging in endodontics is one of the great inventions in dentistry and has served immensely in making the treatment more predictable. It plays a vital role at almost all stages of treatment, right from diagnosis of the disease to the post-treatment evaluation. The PubMed database search revealed that the reference list for Dental Imaging featured 1, 40, 000 articles and for Advanced Dental Imaging-9, 61, 000 articles. A forward search was undertaken on selected articles, author names and contemporary endodontic texts. This review will be covering the advanced methods of implication of different imaging modalities with their comparison and also the various fields in endodontics where these techniques are proving helpful and may prove helpful in the future.
