Abstract This article describes the management of non-ideal completely edentulous ridge having severe labial undercut, compromising denture esthetics and difficult path of insertion. A clear surgical template was used as a guide to convey the planned path of insertion and the amount of bone to be reduced (by the prosthodontist to the operating oral surgeon). The provided surgical correction of the residual alveolar ridge reduces the difficulty during denture fabrication providing acceptable esthetics.
