Abstract This article is dealing with the development of dental casting techniques and existence of the different groups of alloys used in the fabrication of ceramo-metal restoration. Various factors are Biocompatibility, good mechanical and physical properties, restoration longevity, porcelain compatibility, and manipulative technique. Esthetics plays an vital role in today's society, here the emphasis is given only to alloys designed for fabrication of ceramo-metal restorations. Many ceramometal alloys are available today, and they are classified differently by different individuals.
